Diagonal Anti-Knight Sudoku - 1

Hi All, We had posted this puzzle on our website on 17-May-2020. It turned out tougher than it looked but Tiit Vunk, the 2016 World Sudoku Champion, smashed it in just 4 minutes. Thought will share with you all who did not get to solve it online.

Rules of classic Sudoku apply. Additionally, digits do not repeat on both the marked diagonal lines and a digit also cannot repeat in a cell which is at a knight's step(as in chess) from itself.

Hi All,

It had been a long time since I posted a puzzle on the blog. With the website being active for the last one year, I have been busy creating and providing free puzzles there for you all to solve online. If you haven't been there yet, I suggest you head to sudokumaniacs right now and register.

So today's puzzle is a combination or a hybrid sudoku as it is called. The rules of classic sudoku apply. Additionally, each of the 9 digits cannot repeat at a knight's step from itself and also at a king's step from itself. So it is a combination of 2 chess moves.

Hope you all have fun solving it. It is only a slightly difficult side. Happy Solving.

AntiKnight-NonConsecutive 2019 - 1

Last week I received a message from Simon Anthony, a member of the UK Sudoku team and an avid video blogger. He has a YouTube channel where he picks up puzzles of various authors and explains to his visitors the approach take to solve them. So Simon messaged me and said that another friend of ours Christoph Seeliger, had recommended a puzzle of mine to be featured on Simon's YouTube Channel.

The puzzle in question was an Antiknight - NonConsecutive sudoku that I had created way back in 2013. I was pleasantly surprised that Chistoph remembered the puzzle after so many years.

What Simon has done in the video is remarkable. He has made the approach to such mutant variants so simple. This video becomes a good guide for people who wish to learn how to solve an Anti-Knight Sudoku and also a Non-Consecutive sudoku.

Anti-Knight Sudoku 2018 - 1

We are nearing the big announcement day. Keep look at the blog posts. You will be hearing some exciting news soon. It will be big for all sudoku lovers.

Today we have an Anti-Knight Sudoku. Rules of Classic sudoku apply. Additionally, cells that are at a knight's step from each other, as in chess, cannot contain the same digit.

Odd-Even Anti-Knight Sudoku 2013 - 1

A hurriedly made even odd sudoku with the anti-knight constraint.

Rules of classic sudoku apply. Grey cells can contain only even digits. A digit cannot repeat at a cell which is at a knights step from itself.

AntiKnight Sudoku 2013 - 3

Today is an Anti-Knight Sudoku for the Daily league. Things have been hectic and hence the puzzle updates for blog have become infrequent. Soon there will be a news update for all so keep watching this space.

On the Daily League, we have had a splurge of great puzzles as always. I haven't solved any this week, but indeed to do it later this weekend.
