Irregular - Nonconsecutive 2013 - 1

Today being a Thursday, it is my turn at the daily league. This is a Mutant Sudoku or a combination sudoku.

Ensure that every row, column and irregularly shaped regions contain the digits 1 to 9. Additionally, no two adjacent cells can contain consecutive digits.

The League has kicked off beautifully and the number of members is simply growing by leaps and bounds. If you are an avid sudoku solver and are tired of solving computer generated puzzles online, then the League is the place to be. All contributors are world renowned solvers themselves and each puzzle is hand crafted to perfection. Check out the facebook group of the league.

Hope you all enjoy this easy combination sudoku.

Daily League Update

The League was started in the middle of the week, hence the first week has only 4 sudokus in it. The booklet has been compiled and is available for download for whoever wants to try them. The booklet can be downloaded here.

Along side the puzzle we have the fastest time in the group as the expert solving time and also the expected time to solve by an intermediate solver and a beginner. Solve and see where you stand.

The week 2 booklet will be available for download by the end of this week.

Trio Sudoku 2013 - 1

This is my first Trio Sudoku. For a change there is no symmetry on the givens but somehow I managed to put all digits 1 to 9, one digit in each box. Hope you like this easy puzzle.

Rules of classic sudoku apply. Additionally, cells with circles can contain only the digits 1,2 or 3. Cells with rectangles in them can contain the digits 4,5 or 6 only.
