Diagonal Anti-Knight Sudoku - 1

Hi All, We had posted this puzzle on our website on 17-May-2020. It turned out tougher than it looked but Tiit Vunk, the 2016 World Sudoku Champion, smashed it in just 4 minutes. Thought will share with you all who did not get to solve it online.

Rules of classic Sudoku apply. Additionally, digits do not repeat on both the marked diagonal lines and a digit also cannot repeat in a cell which is at a knight's step(as in chess) from itself.


Odd Sudoku 2019 - 1

With the launch of our website, there has been a lull in me posting sudokus on my blog.

Few weeks back, I had created an Odd Sudoku for the website. It was a bit tough so I had added a few clues to make it easier. Here is the original hard puzzle for people who are interested.

True or False Sudoku

With the Indian Sudoku Championship just 1 week away, here is a practice puzzle. It is a True or False Sudoku.

Rules of classic sudoku apply. Additionally, some cells contain small digits given on the top left corner. These digits can either be true or false for that particular cell. If wrong then the correct digit is either plus or minus 1 from the given digit.


Diagonal Killer Sudoku 2015 - 1

It has been a long time since my Double Delight contest that I have created a combinations Sudoku. With the upcoming Italian, seventh round of WPF Sudoku Grand Prix having a combinational sudoku named Italian Job, I decided to create one more. This would also serve as practice for the GP round.

Rules of classic sudoku apply. Additionall digits do not repeat on the marked diagonals. Numbers on the top left of the cages denote the sum of all the digits inside the cages. Digits do not repeat inside a cage.

I enjoyed creating this and I hope you enjoy solving it too.

Today's Puzzle is a Double Diagonal Sudoku. This is another of my puzzles from the Polish National Sudoku Championship.

Trio Non-Consecutive Sudoku 2015 - 1

Today we have another sudoku that was created for the Polish National Sudoku Championship. It is a Trio Non-Consecutive Sudoku. Rules of Classic Sudoku apply. Additionally, adjacent cells cannot contain consecutive digits. Grey cells can contain only the digits 1,2,3. Yellow cells can contain only the digits 7,8,9 and the white cells contain the digits 4,5,6.


No Donkey Step Sudoku 2015 N1

It has been a long time since I posted a sudoku. With a vacancy available in the Daily league, I thought it best to start posting again.

Today's sudoku is a No Donkey Step Sudoku. I had created this as one of the sudokus for the Polish National Championship but it ended up on the editing table :)

Rules of classic sudoku apply. Additionally, a digit cannot repeat with 2 cells from itself in any direction, even diagonally.


Pyramid Sudoku 2013 - 1

Today we will have a puzzle from the WSC 2013 IB. This is a pyramid sudoku, It is nothing but an extension of an Extra region sudoku.

Rules of Classic Sudoku apply. Additionally regions marked in grey contain digits 1 to 9 without any repetition.


Arrow Sudoku 2013 - 1

As promised we have an arrow sudoku today. This is the first Arrow Sudoku that I am posting on the blog and thanks to PS for reminding me that I had never done an arrow sudoku before. This is of medium difficulty and not too tricky, well not too obvious either and i wanted to maintain the symmetry of the givens too.

Rules of Classic Sudoku apply. Additionally digits in the circle are equal to the sum of the digits along the arrow from it. Digits may repeat on an arrow.


Even Odd Skyscraper 2013 - 3

Today we have an Even Odd Skyscraper Sudoku. Some one reminded me that I have not put up an Arrow Sudoku on my blog so that will definitely be up here next week. However for this week we will stick to the Even Odd Skyscraper.

Place numbers in the grid such that each row, column and 3x3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9. Each number represents the height of the skyscraper in each cell. The digits outside the grid indicate the number of skyscrapers seen from the corresponding direction. Taller Skyscrapers hide shorter ones. Shaded cells inside and outside the grid can contain only even digits.

Things are looking up for the sudoku and puzzle scene in India. Sportz Consult, a group interested in puzzles and sudoku is conducting  contests around various cities. I will be in Chennai this weekend coordinating one of the events. Lets see how things shape up.
